Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital malformation of lung in which part the supplied by an anomalous systemic blood supply from thoracic or abdominal aorta. This nonfunctioning tissue and lacks normal communication with tracheobronchial tree. It develops accessory bud. If developed before pleura formation, it results intralobar sequestration, extralobar, if after formation. Usually Intralobar type pulmonary presents late childhood adolescence recurrent infections. less commonly associated foregut anomalies, unlike latter. Extra lobar usually respiratory distress while infections are common. In present case report 76-year-old male patient was diagnosed sequestration. presented complaints fever cough expectoration for one week. Previously misdiagnosed pneumonia. Despite age patient, consideration as differential diagnosis lead to investigations that direction. helped prompt further plan management.
